One of the ways we achieve this is through our Gun Wise Safety First Program, created by the Alberta Hunter Education Instructors' Association (AHEIA). This program aims to educate the public on responsible firearms ownership and safety, and it provides a comprehensive framework known as AWARE (Always think safety first, What to do with unwanted firearms, Ask for help, Responsibilities of firearms ownership, and Education eliminates accidents).
